Hello! I'm Stephanie
Pediatric Occupational Therapist, Educator & Advocate.
Dive into a world where your newfound knowledge of fine motor skill development and sensory processing come together to help you best support the young learners in your care.
I understand the complexities of early childhood development and the importance of seeking out effective strategies to support every childâs unique needs, both at school and at home.
Not so long ago, I was searching for a way to share my expertise as an occupational therapist with preschool teachers by providing them with an engaging, practical, and evidenced-based training. I found that quality continuing education opportunities, specifically designed for early educators, were rare. Â
I aspired to help teachers create a classroom environment where every child could flourish, develop essential fine motor skills, and navigate sensory experiences with confidence and comfort.
Faced with this goal in mind, I embarked on a mission to create "Write Beginnings," a space where I could train and support early educators, drawing on my expertise as an occupational therapist.
Â
A couple of years in...
Now having worked with hundreds of educators, I've seen firsthand the remarkable transformations that can occur when teachers are equipped with the right strategies and knowledge. Children thrive, educators feel empowered, and classrooms become vibrant spaces of learning and development.
Â
Why I Do What I Do
At the heart of Write Beginnings is my belief that every child deserves the opportunity to reach their fullest potential and to learn in a space where their motor skills and sensory preferences are nurtured and supported. This belief fuels my dedication to share my expertise with early educators and families so we can work together to care for our youngest learners.
With a unique blend of professional insight, hands-on experience, and a deep commitment to early childhood education, I bring a comprehensive approach to the educational trainings I provide.
My goal? To ensure every child benefits from a learning environment that supports their growth and comfort.
I'm excited to be on this journey with you. Together, we can make a lasting impact on the lives of countless children, helping them build a strong foundation for lifelong success.
It's my belief thatÂ
every early educator should have the knowledge and tools to nurture children's unique developmental timeline, and to help them participate fully and comfortably in their learning environment
Let me show you how to effectively support fine motor skill development at all stages, and how to apply sensory strategies for increased comfort and participation, paving the way for a future where every child thrives
